You REALLY Suited To Starting An Online Business?
OK, what is your perception
of starting an online business?
Answer honestly
because it is important.
- Do you consider that
making a living online is easy?
- What income level do you
think is achievable?
- How much work do you think
is involved to achieve that level of income?
- Why do you want to start
an online home business anyway?
- How much do you think you
know about running an Internet home based business?
- Do you have a real desire
to alter your lifestyle?
Most people would answer
the above by saying...
- Relatively easy compared
to my present job.
- At least $3,000 per
month.
- I can run an online
business part time so
no problem.
- Better Lifestyle, Kids
Education, Pension etc. etc.
- I feel comfortable with my
knowledge as I download and read a lot of e-books and
also spend time looking at many home business
programs.
- Yes.

So, most people feel they are ready to start an
online business
and also feel quite confident they will
make a success of it.
Is this how you feel
just now? You probably fall into one of the
following categories:
1. Tried many programs but
they just don't seem to work out for some reason OR
2. I am totally confused by all the conflicting
information promising me success and don't know what to
do.
Setting up a
home business is an important life decision which is going
to involve a financial outlay as well as a dedicated personal
commitment and I see no mileage in pretending it is easy, or
even achievable for everyone.
How much effort are you prepared to put into reaching your
desired goals? How about learning and then practicing your new
online business skills?
Your entire success rests with you and you alone. Without a
solid and dedicated effort it is not possible to earn a living
from an Internet home based business.
Let's
be honest, despite what all the programs tell you, do you
really think anybody
is going to make you rich if you give them $10 every month and
do nothing?

considered that for the first year of starting your online
business you will probably be working longer hours than
you do now in your day job?

Are you
prepared to wait 6 months to build your Internet home
business foundations before seeing any real returns?
Unfortunately you
have probably been conditioned by the Internet to believe that
achieving wealth from an online business is easy and can
happen almost overnight.
Wrong, Wrong Wrong!
An online business is no different to any other business.
You must be prepared to spend the time, at least 3 - 6 months, to
get those foundations firmly in place. Moving from one program
to another every few weeks means you will fail every single
time and this is not always the fault of the program. It is
impatience together with unrealistic expectations on your
part.
Are
you prepared for a financial outlay?
As mentioned above, nobody is going to make you rich simply by you giving them $10 per month. If you are going to make up your
mind to run a business there are going to be overheads which
are just a part of doing business.
Realistically if you find $10 per month hard to find you
cannot run a business. One of your main expenses will be
promotion and belonging to a $5 safe list will absolutely not
make you any money.
You should also consider paying for training materials from
established and respected entrepreneurs on the Internet.
Are
you prepared to spend time helping others and build a
relationship based on friendship and trust?
I am going to cover this more fully in another article but for
now I will just say you must be able to adopt a personal
approach to your business.
Your customers, members or downline are your most valuable
asset. If you ignore them or are not available to them for any
reason then your online business is going to fail.
Building
personal relationships is one of the most
important aspects to
running your online business.

This stems from your reasons for wanting to effect a change in
